Assaggiaolio® is a unique product, handcrafted in mouth-blown glass, following the directions of the International Olive Council, which in its document COI/T.20/Rev.2 – 2020 sets the standard for making the technical glass for tasting extra virgin olive oil.
The COI standard, in fact, defines both the measurements and the characteristics of the glass: it must be made of glass and of a dark color such as to hide the colour of the oil. For this reason, cobalt blue is recognized as the color that perfectly fulfills this requirement.
In addition, the glass must be free of bubbles and defects, with a rounded rim and, in professional tasting, must be accompanied by the watch glass.
Our range of Assaggiaolio® glasses and lids, in addition to meeting these technical requirements, also winks at aesthetics: clear glass, where this choice is made, enhances the color of the oil in consumer service. Lids with knobs protect against flavor leaks and preserve against contamination by external agents such as watch glass but lend a touch of elegance to the service.

With a purchase of six pieces, the multi-pack is available, in which you will also find the booklet “How to Taste Oil,” which will guide you through the gestures for perfect tasting. This small manual was created to promote understanding of oil tasting technique, offering valuable advice and useful information. With a price supplement, the brochure can also be requested for the single pack.
